STRICTURE OF BILE DUCT AFTER LIVER TRANSPLANT
I had a liver transplant 3 years ago. I was wondering if any of you have what they call a stricture in their bile duct. Its where they sew the donor bile duct to yours and have had an ERCP procedure? How prevelant is this?

Hi. I had a liver tplant in 2010 (1 1/2 yrs ago) and just had an ERCP for a stricture in the bile duct. My doctor told me it is prevalent because the donor bile duct and the recipient bile duct are not the same size usually so this happens.
