I am glad that your fistula operation went well. If you have any questions regarding anything please feel free to write or post on my page.

It is not an easy ride, it has so many ups and downs. I had carpul tunnel from dialysis so I would wear a brace/ some kind of wrap thing at night and that seem to help a bit. I waited about 4 years for a transplant, I will pray that you get the call very soon.

Hi Atvrider, How have you been doing dialysis? I found it was shocking at first when I found out I was in kidney failure because I found out by just being tired and going to the doctor. It was a hard thing to wrap my head around. Then I was on dialysis shortly after that 3x a week for about 4 hours at a center. Mentally I decided that I was going to just look at it as a job and to help people there (other older people), so I would kind of play a game with myself to make it through. I would make friends with people who came from the nursing home....talk to them, know the nurses lives, and try to be supportive. That is what made it ok for me. Yes, I would be tired but I was so thankful that there was that option for me. I tend to look at the glass as if it is overflowing not half full, because that is the way I was made, not because I am something special. I would detach from the illness, I would not mentally take me down. The rest of the week when I wasnt there I tried to enjoy my life, with some limitations. It all comes in time Atvrider, we all find our way to make it work in our own way. Please write I am happy to write back.
