I am one year post transplant (liver) and have stomach pain and insomnia and joint pain. I figure these are most likely side effects ofmeds. Does this ever go away?

You have not had your transplant very long and if having a liver transplant is anything like having a kidney transplant, you may have several more adjustments ion your medications which should make sleeping much easier. Good luck to you. Remember, on this site as well as on the sister site, you have lots of support. If you have not joined it yet, you might consider it.
