- I was born with Cystic Fibrosis and at the age of 36 I received my first double lung transplant. I had a very successful transplant at Loyola Medical Center in Illinois. After eight years I needed another double lung transplant. Two years later I received my second double lung transplant at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida. Throughout my transplant life, I have been promoting organ donation through talking to groups and through my online websites Transplantbuddies and Transplant Friends. ~Thank you for joining us~Rise'

My health challenges are complicated by my parenting challenges of two teen boys right now, a lot of issues to deal with and trying to stay healthy is not always getting to be on the list, but I do try. I keep getting shingles from the stress. I have a son with autism and one with ADHD.
