Share - which illness lead up to you needing a transplant?: I have severe emphysema. I smoked for over 40 yrs and I I was part owner and mgr of a dry cleaners and breathed chemicles for 27 yrs.

I am so glad that you joined here as well:) Pre transplant you can seek a nutrtionist for help and guidance you with proper food intake. What you eat plays a big role in everything. If you take two people who have been exposed to chemicals, I would believe the person who ate healthy foods would be in better health than the person who did not eat well. There are many factors that go into ones health of course.

Just avoiding chemicals within your home is a start. Can you use natural cleaning products now?
