"Hi Eric Hanson! Deb Lofgreen here, and as you well know, I also had a double lung TX at St Joe's - in Nov 2011.
If you look through the list of centers, you'll see that I signed St Joe's in to this program back in April. I used Heart…"

"OH, just remembered, the Priest would also bring communion to Mom at home, if she requested, or at the church during the week. That way you could have communion and be sure to be the only one using the chalice. I know it is not the…"
"I would be more concerned about having grape juice than wine. At least the wine has alcohol in it that can kill some germs on the chalice. I'm sure if you talked with your priest, they could arrange for you to have your own cup and to take…"

"I've always had very fine hair - the kind that tangles if a butterfly flys by. I've also been a natural blond my whole life - until after TX. Now I have much darker hair - even eyebrows and public hair. What a hoot. Who…"

Great to hear, i was the same way, but beware UPMC advised i waited till 8 weeks just incase the worst happened on the road, said an air bag would be bad or a sudden jolt, so i waited, i also had a little trouble with upper body strenght opening the door was easy but closing it was another story so practice in the driveway!!!They also suggested i had my air filter changed in the car!!!!
I am one year and 4 months and just was at UPMC for tests and bronc and all was good again, so eat the good stuff, exercise and stay away from crowds. Keep up the good work. But most of all stay safe walk dont run.
Wow, I am so impressed, and so happy for you!
You are quite impressive! 4 weeks out and ready to drive. I just can't believe how differently your experience was from mine. I guess there are so many variables that influence outcomes.
At any rate, keep up the good work and congratulations on your terrific progress!
