Hey all. My name is Kaylee. I am 24 years old and I live in the east coast state of Maine. I am not a recipient of a kidney nor do I need one. However, I am looking to be a donor for someone. I know there are a lot of sick people on here and elsewhere in the world. - I am Interested in Transplant Friends because...
- I am interested in donating something to help someone else out. I know it's a large ordeal and can be very painful, but I know the risks. I joined this group of people not only to learn about what makes them, well, them...but to see if it is any of them that I can maybe give a piece of my liver or even a kidney to.
- Which Transplant Center has or will perform your life saving surgery?
- Have not had any, but if I donated an organ or part of one it would be wherever the other person is.
- Share how your transplant experience changed your life?
- I wish it has. I really want to do this for someone. My only possible drawback is that I do not have the money to do this on my own. I would have to do it under a recipients insurance.
