This gift is hope wrapped in a miracle and presented with love by my donor. I am overwhelmed by the "bigness" of this sacrifice. The love that abounds around me from the family and friends who support me, the doctors and nurses who care for me to the kindness and compassion of strangers have allowed me to transcend some of my grim realities with optimism and gratitue. I don't think it's possible to be unchanged by this experience.
