Jules replied to Yvonne's discussion 'STOPPING PREDNISONE (STEROIDS)' in the group Kidney Transplants"Hi, I had my transplant May 6, 2010 and in Oct 2010 the doctors lowered my prednisone to 5mg every other day. My blood work is good and creatine runs around 1. I have also gained 40# and have all the other side effects also. Best wishes to all."

- I was diagnosed with FSGS, name to long to say, 19 and a half years ago. The doctors say from unknown reason.
- Which Organ(s) did you receive? If you are on the waiting list, please share.
- I had a kidney transplant.
- Drugs, vitamins, favorite foods
- I take prograf, prednisone, and cellcept.
- How many years have you had your Transplant for?
- a year and 8 months
- I am Interested in Transplant Friends because...
- They will understand how I feel and what I've been through along with me understanding how they feel. The only thing I have not experienced is dialysis.
- Which Transplant Center has or will perform your life saving surgery?
- University Transplant Center, San Antonio Texas
- Share how your transplant experience changed your life?
- In so many ways. I was involved in a chain of 4 living donors and 4 recipients. My health is good and my new kidney works awesome, a 1.1 is my average function. I don't sweat small stuff, much. I have a new family and new friends. It has open my doors to unlimited possibilities.
- Share your interests and hobbies
- Love to bake, good cook if would just do it, love to spend time with family. Love horses and love to ride them, although haven't in a while. I enjoy painting, its relaxing.
