- Because of my cornea transplant I can see out of my only good eye without it I would be able to see hardly anything at all. My kidney pancreas transplant gave me freedom from diabetes which I had since I was only 2 years old. It also gave me freedom from dialysis which I had been undergoing for 7 years pre transplant. I cannot even begin to describe all the different ways transplant has changed my life. I never imagined I could live a life without diabetes. I feel better than ever and I am forever grateful for my precious gifts!
