Today is my Donors Birthday,I talked to Justin's Mom this morning,,We are family they came to Our Wedding.We were just there last week..God is so Good!

- I went to doctor he gave me a blood test,it said I had HepC and I was devestated the biopsie showed ireparable damage to the liver.soon it turned to pulmanary hyprtenction so my lungs wre bad also,thatwas2004..they sent me to heart doctor yet nothing could lower the presure in the right side heart.Thier was no such thing as double lung and liver so I was terminal... and with no hope it was that way until 2008 I was told of a some what new operation to which my chance of even waiking up were 40%, nothing at all to do with rejection just to waik up.So being of stong faith in my Lord I did all the tests and was aproved, I waited only 23 dayswhen they called,turns out I was worse than I thought. But I did not know until after the transplants .It took 11hrs.for lungs and 11hrs for the liver,So now its been 1 year and two mnths. Life is great I never thought I would servive,I sail my sail my boat,ride a moter cycle carefully, I am not normal or may never be what I was before,But as recal I was go see the undertaker terminal, I shall never for one moment forget my Donner.Or all the medicall people who helped and encouraged me to keep trying,as we had some comptications

However, sometimes I find myself looking forward to feeling better. I would love to have this IV pump removed. I also am so grateful for it or I am sure I would not be here now. I try to do everything the doc's say. I have put my life in their hands. I still try to educate myself on anything to do with my health. It helps me so much to be on these support groups. People like you give me hope. Thank you for sharing and I hope life is good for you! Hugs :)

Man it's time to get the bike ready for the road, you're wasting time big guy. Some of my buddies have already taken their first road trip, unfortunately for me I prefer a little more steel around me.

Hey Gene!!! Happy New Year big guy! Almost time to put the bike on the road and get some sun. My 2nd year tx birthday next month and I will be in Cancun to kick it off right. I plan to try my hand at Golf this year (kind of boring), however when the fishing season start, I'll be on the river banks pulling in the big ones(I hope). Stay Well.

- Hey Gene!!!! Thanks for the warm comments, you appear to really be enjoying your second chance. I am doing great,my doctor visits are now at six month intervals, with Lab's done every 3 months. I've done some traveling, not a heck of a lot, however I have trips plan for this month and Valentines day ( my Liver bday) I need the warmer climates.
I see you and I have the same scar (Mercedes Cut), that must be the trend now, I told my doctor I wanted a Bikini Cut to hide it , no such luck. You have a great looking family, nice toys, I'm a member of a knife collector's club and spend so time at the gun range and plan a fishing trip in the spring. Stay in touch
