My name is Bill Helms and I have been given credit for creating a Group for lung transplant persons and their care givers. I am not computer gifted, so mistakes by me will simply be mistakes, ok? (ha)

I am a single lung, left side, transplantee as of June 22, 2010, and when I found this web site I so enjoyed reading blogs of others, but then realized I couldn't tell who had what transplanted.

thank you..and i don't quite understand what is was that you to cause you to get a double lung transplant...im sure as you read i had broncular pulmonary displeasia(sp) also known as BPD. its similar to Cystic Fibrosis but not quite the same. Since feb 2011, i've been in and out of the hospital for constant rejection and infection. The rejection seems to re curing over and over again. The doctors have been running test and think that one of my anti rejection medications(celcept) is being absorbed by my body and isn't working properly. So they are talking about me possibly having to get a second double lung transplant because i haven't improved and i'm needing more oxygen than when all this originally started.

You know, today we finished drafting the proposal which we will soon put to the government for the certification. I am trying to form Bhutan Kidney Foundation here in the country, Its been my dream project to help the needy patients. I am apparently working as Manager for a local youth center here in the capital.
