That night the energy was high! We opened our hearts and shared our deepest thoughts and feelings. The drummers had a lot of fire that night. Of course i sang and danced. There was a lot of laughter and good food. It didn't end until 3:00am. I didn't know that would be the last time i did peritoneal dialysis.

Nov 20, 1999 I received a Kidney transplant at Emory hospital. What's ironic is that i had prayed to not go into the 21st century doing dialysis. The week before my transplant was quite busy. My dear friend, Mama Jean had come to visit from New Orleans. She made some really good seafood gumbo that week.....we were licking our fingers.
