Just celebrated my 3rd OLT anniversary. I am taking Cellcept 250mg  a day, and Prograf 0.5 mg. 2 x per day. My transplant clinic even recently suggested to take Cellcept off my med list entirely. Kind of worry if my intake dosage might to too low.

I'm one year out (dlung tx).  I went to dr last week and they put me back on cellcept.  I've notice some diarrhea.  It's only been a week.  I'm taking it 250mg twice a day.   I just finish 10 days of amox and switched from nexium to prilosec (temp).  Don't know if diarrhea is/was being cause by one of the other two meds?  Waiting for my annual appt.

Thanks for the info, I'll keep my eye's open for anything like that and I'll ask my Dr next time I see him about the probablity of that happening to me. You know with that weight gain I had with the predisone, the Dr gave me Topamax which is for Migrane headaches is also used as a dietery drug and I lost almost 40 lbs. You need a script for it though.

Mell,  I developed some kind of weird warts from the Cellcept about 4 1/2 years out.  The first year they tried to treat it Kryon (not sure of the spelling).  I was having bi-monthly treatments done.  But it barely put a dent into them.  Then they put me on some Chemo cream.  It worked for about a year, now it's slacking off.  That cream also has some nasty side effects,  The shakes, queasy stomach, and all the other nasty stuff the Chemo does,  But I have not lost my hair.
I don't think they know how to make a drug with side effects.
The Prednisone effects me once in a while.  After having Phenomena in the fall, followed by a blood clot in my lungs a few month after, the prednisone went crazy on me and I ballooned up to  236's by the end of last summer, however I'm back to my normal weight of 186 again now.
All this mess, sure does keep life interesting, to say the least.  Such is a chemical life.

Hi, I'm 11 months out (d lung tx).  I'm off the cellcept, take 5mg prograf, 5mg pred, 450mg valcyte, 750mg mepron and my nausea and diarrhea have stopped.  Feeling lots better.  Now I'm gaining too much weight, have to go on a diet.

What type of side effects are you having with cellcept.....predisone I normally blow up, but I have that under control...But so far I haven't had any problems with cellcept...

Cellcept and predisone, are two nasty drugs.  The side effects of the cellcept has been a real pain at times.  I'm on 150mg 2Xdaily of Cellcelpt, and only 5 mg of predisone.  Im almost 7 tears out of my heart trasplant 31 July 2005.  However it's all good.  Thanks to God I can still walk and talk.  Still able to complain about it.  The little bits of hell I have to go through at times, will just make heaven that much sweeter.

Well, I'm hoping to ween down on the cellcept and prograf after time. Maybe eventually get off predinsone. I'm thinking also it might be because our age difference to, there's ten years there. But I will ask my Dr. about the possibility of taking me off the predinsone. I do not care for steroids at all....

Mel, am 21 months out on my heart txplnt  amd i was off predizone in 7 months and for cellcept i take 250 mg twice a day and prograf 1 mg twice a day ,

  My txplnt cntr are not big fans of keeping peeps on predizone unless they have to, not sure if this is commoon in every txplnt cntr,  something to look into on my next visits in june..
