Welcome Dragos. Wow 16 years old!! I wish you all the best.

Rick it's interesting to see the different stages of post-transplant. I wish you the best too.

Welcome, Dragos! Congratulations on your recent liver transplant! It may be hard to fight the temptation for foods with lots of sugar and salt, but it will be worth it in the end. Besides, I have found that as I ate more healthy, the less I craved that which was so much more unhealthy. Also there is the adage of everything in moderation. I am glad you are doing well, and I hope you may continue to be blessed by your transplant. Best of wishes.

Hello all! Im Dragos, a 16 year old boy from Romania. 2 yrs ago  i was diagnosted with autoimmune hepatitis which led to cirhhosis. So ive had a lever tx 3 month ago and everything its quite good. I I have a big appetite for sugar and salt. I take medrol so ive have a low salt and sugar diet . Thats quite bad but ill try to control myself. I will post here frequently

That is great news. I am 5 months post liver tx and I'm still having a lot of numbness and tingling in my hands, feet, and legs. All labs are normal as is my blood sugar levels.
Any info would be appreciated

When I got my liver transplant on Jan. 7th 2010. My meld score was 14 or 15. & after post, they put me on predisone for 5 mons. & I was really on edge, my wife & friends treaded slowly. After 5 mons. post, I was back playing slow-pitch & walking the dogs with my wife.Last 2 yrs. in the winter season, curling 3 times a week. My wife saved my life many times, 8 comas & other situations. I think of my Donor & His Family every-day, hugs to pre & post.

Bobbiejo.  Thank you for your support and prayers.  Iam not weak or frail, which all are surprised.  Iam very active and always doing something. I work on my own yard all the time, swim, walk alot and help anyone that needs it.  Everyone says I do more than a full-time employee.  Lots of energy..Prayers and my belief in the Lord guide me every day.    Melody

I cannot comment on how long it might take (I got a liver but many other organs too), but I wanted to congratulate you on soon being on the waiting list. I hope it will not be too long of a wait. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. May you be able to take the time until then to get stronger and more prepared for when the right call comes. This became my focus when I was waiting, and I think it really helped because it gave me goals to work for and kept me as active as possible as my weak body would let me before my transplant, sometimes surprising myself by what I did. Best of wishes and many hugs.
