Hi Tin Man

I am sorry to hear this news.  I would join transplantbuddies forum and ask them.  What is the treatment for this?

I will pray for you, Rise'

I am 2 years post heart transplant and I have just recently had a tonsillectomy. Unfortunately it was not a tonsil that was showing in my throat but a carcinoma on top of my tonsil. Does anyone have any experience with post transplant cancer? ANy insight on whay I may expect to face?

Hi Rodger,

Thank you for introducing yourself here. Sorry to hear you have been through so much. Sounds like you have a wonderful attitude which really helps get us through.  Consider where you have been when you think about anything that bothers you. It helps to put all thoughts into perspective.  Take care of yourself, Rise'

Hello all!! My name is Roger and I'm t a kidney tx recipient (patient sounds so helpless) and I just joined Transplant Buddies. I've had my kidney since February 2007. I'm doing well now, but have had several complications. Most recently, about a year ago, an eight month battle to beat back a smoldering rejection. The good news, after five biopsies, three rounds of steroid infusions and finally a set of IVIG treatments, the rejection seems to be stopped.  I’m feeling better than I can remember. The bad news is tht I'm back on prednisone for duration.

Having buddies is what helps us make it through the days when we want to share our joys, laughter, difficulties and tears. It is so nice to have (buddies) people here that we can relate to on so many different levels. Everyone needs a buddy to share our winding paths with!
