A good friend of mine Gary Klausner wrote "Never Say Never".  I am going to buy this book today.

If you know someone with CF, they will definitely be inspired by Gary's words.  Whenver I talk to Gary, I always feel uplifted.  I cannot wait to read his book.

My memoir, The Next 15 Minutes: Strength from the Top of the Mountain, tells how I used the skills learned as an EMT and ski patroller to get through my husband's bile duct cancer and ultimate live donor liver transplant. Just like on the slopes, I had to slow down and take it just 15 minutes at a time, lest I might panic. If I looked too far into the future at all the "what ifs" I lost the nerve to do the next right thing to get through it. I found parallels to my experience at my husband's bedside to the life I'd lived in the mountains for 20 years.
