I hope your waiting will soon come to an end and you both will be blessed with the perfect gift. My heart goes out to you as I remember how hard it was waiting in poor health for my transplant. Steve- I hear you loud and clear!  I am in a similar boat, waiting for an organ and watching my body fall apart.  I pray for something good and true for both of us.  India

Hi all. My name is Steve andI have been listed at NY-Presbyterian/Columbia since July 2012. After suffering a cardiac arrest in February, I have been elevated to status 1B from status 2. I am now waiting for a hospital bed in a specialized unit or ICU tomorrow (April 19). Either I will be on 2 drips or a Swan until Iam transplanted. I should be a status 1A then. I have AB+ blood, a have been told numerous times that I would get a heart very soon. Let's hope that this time, it finally happens. It's very tough feeling like a puppet on a string, and I sure hope that something good and true is almost here.

  CMV   got me about 6mths post tx   thought I was gonna die!  glad I didn't!

Dear Judith,

I am sorry that you have had such a difficult time with the CMV and your kidney trouble. I hope that if you do get another kidney, it will not be too long, and it will be like starting anew, a blank slate that will not be filled in with any problems from the CMV again. I will be sure to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  Many hugs and best of wishes.
