I've been watching some very interesting TV series's lately that are excellent. The Ice Cream Girls, Life of Crime, Murder on the Home Front, Endeavour, Broadchurch, Orphan Black, Rogue, The Politician's Husband, Hemlock Grove, Vicious, Mr and Mrs Murder, Doctor Blake Mysteries, (these last two are Australian)  etc. etc. etc.
Most of these are British (ITV and BBC) and are not on TV in the US. Some are from DirectTV or Netflix, while others are on BBC America or Sundance. The Internet is great. We are no longer dependent on what's on US TV stations. And, you don't need cable or even an antenna to watch them. Just an internet connection and a media player. You might like some of these, like Vicious, which stars Derek Jacobi and Ian McKellan as an old gay couple - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2582590

I love to watch anything on PBS:  Nova Science Now, Nature, anythnig about history or culture, cooking shows, Globe Treker, Dr. Oz, and for fun shows I like to watch the Addams Family, Cosby Show, Gidget and the Flying Nun. Good wholesome shows.  I also like British comedies like Keeping Up Appearances, Waiting on God, Are You Being Served and Benny Hill.

Thanks Jay for all of your support. I am sure Dr. Oz would appreciate it too.

The complete works of Shakespeare on video from the BBC.

I just downloaded BBC productions of the entire First Folio, which includes 37 plays: seventeen comedies, ten tragedies, and ten histories.

You can either purchase the entire set in PAL (non-US) format, or you can download the entire set for free , which will play in the US, or anywhere in the world.

These plays feature the cream of the 20th Century's acting talent. Some of the great actors featured in these plays include:
Laurence Olivier, Brenda Blethyn, Colin Blakely, Leo McKern, John Gielgud, Jonathan Pryce, Michael Hordern, Felicity Kendall, Cyril Cusack, Anthony Andrews, Diana Rigg, John Hurt, Bernard Hill, John Cleese, Trevor Peacock, William Hurt, John Fortune, Robert Lindsay, John Bird, Julia Foster, Annette Crosbie, Zoë Wanamaker, Mark Wing-Davey... The list goes ever on. Suffice to say, the finest productions of the Bard's work extant. :

All 37 plays are in .wmv format, so the complete collection is only 24GB in size. I have a slow internet connection, so it took me about a day to download, but I now have the full collection stored on my media player (WDTV Live), so I can watch any one of these brilliant productions at will. Great entertainment for a rainy spring day.

No, you were right, I was wrong - favorite movies were requested, not just transplant related

Comment by Jim Gleason on March 30, 2012 at 8:35am

Of the 100+ movies in our on-line transplant movie database, there are only a disappointing few worth watching (like less than 20) and Bloodwork is one of those few.  My personal all time favorite?  "Return to Me"

Thanks Jim
