Hypertension with Pancreas Transplant
Hi guys,
I had a pancreas transplant 19 mths ago. Blood sugars are great A1c is 5.2. I take 6mg prograf AM/PM, 500 mg Cellcept AM/PM and rapamune 2mg daily. My blood pressures continue to rise and antihypertensive meds haven't helped. My GFR has gone from 58 down to 38 since my transplant. Has anyone had blood pressure issues? If so what type of treatments are you using? We have tried numerous meds but I have had side effects and they haven't decreased the BP. Is anyone using all three of the meds? Thanks Red

I had a kidney panncreas transplant and i have problems with my bood pressure to but it goes up and down all the time. my doc just has me on 5mg of lowpresser. trans plant was 5 years ago. the first 4 years was a low bp all the time now it goes up and down. prograf 2mg am 1mg pm 500mg cellcept 4mg of presone pm he just tells me it happens if I excesize bp drops down to 95 over 60 so I dont excesize to much i just take the lowpresser I also have my hemocraft too hight and have to remove blood every three mo. so i think they just dont know every thing about the side efects of the meds but I feel good fpr the most part and no shots and dialysis so I am verey happy right now and have been so u will work it out just dont give god helps
