I heard back right away. I wrote a letter a few months out of transplant. The family really wanted to talk and meet. We will be meeting in the fall! I am excited and nervous!

Coming up on my 1 yr. anniversary and I have sent the anonymous letter to my donor.  That got me thinking and wondering....how many of you have heard back from or even met your donors.  If so, please share your story.

Hey everyone I am New to this site ! Had My heart txp over 13 years ago ! Doing great ! Thanks to my donor and the great staff At CCF ! Went back to work full time 6 months after my txp ! But have since left and Now work for myself by running a fishing charter service on Lake Erie all summer long ! Had many issues before and righ after the txp ! Wow that wasnt fun ! Also spent sometime before on a lvad ! Most heart txp patients will know what that is ! well hope I can be of some help to the newbees out there or anyone who maybe waiting for that second chance a life !

WOW, I love hearing positive things on here..sooo, I thought this may give alot of you a little something to feel positive about..My daughter had a heart transplant at three weeks old..She will celebrate 9 years post transplant June 29th 2011..we have had sicknessed with strep and ears..but she just had her tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in 5 days ago. Overall I am greatful for the time we have been given and praying for many, many more years..I cannot tell you how strong this little girl of mine is..She even amazes me everyday..ANyhow..I am always open to listen to anyone who may just need someone to talk to or want to ask questions to help them on the journey:) feel free to add me as a friend...

Yes it was a great way to end my week... I gotta drop into the chat one weekend...I am online all week and weekend its hit and miss... I have been looking thru all the fourms there
