Comment by Bobbiejo on April 25, 2013 at 1:47pm Dear Roxanne,
Congratulations to your son for what he has achieved and to you for having such caring and inspiring son! His advice is excellent. Sometimes it can be easy to worry so much about the future and our plans for the future that the present can slip away. I agree it is important to use our time as wisely as possible and as though the future may not come so that we remember to squeeze the most out of the present. May he be blessed in many more ways. I hope that you are also faring well. Many hugs.

Comment by roxanne on April 25, 2013 at 12:45pm My son is and was my caregiver through that long road to my gift.He took most of the stress but when interviewed by a local newspaper said the thing he learned most going through the ordeal with me was you have to find something you love to do and do it now.So he quit his deadend safe job and is now acting and doing extra work.Thats something I would never have guessed.Today he is on the set of the new Spiderman Movie that will be released next year and good for him.Two lessons learned

Comment by Aisha on July 31, 2012 at 7:20pm Mark,
Thanks Mark! I am glad that you are impressed. I ask many questions and I never leave his side (other than for a few minutes at a time) when he's hospitalized - all my years of being a participative mother is paying off!! :)

Comment by Aisha on July 31, 2012 at 4:04pm I am the caregiver/Mom to a 14 year old boy who is in heart failure and waiting for a transplant. I have both good and bad days and I am so happy to find that there is a place where others in my role have to support one another. I look forward to getting to know all of you and feel free to contact me - for anything.
We walk a very special path as caregivers, that's almost hard to explain...
